Regulations and policies

Conduct and integrity

The standards expected of everyone in an Academy shirt, on and off the pitch.

Code of conduct

In effect

Behaviour expected of players, leads, officials, families and spectators.

  • Everyone at an Academy activity represents both the Academy and their service. Behave accordingly.
  • Racism, sexism, homophobia, harassment, intimidation and abuse of officials have no place here and will be acted on.
  • Look after each other. This competition exists to strengthen a community, not to win at any cost.
  • Alcohol and other drugs must not affect participation in any Academy activity.
  • Online conduct in Academy messaging, community feeds and social channels is held to the same standard as conduct on the pitch.

Disciplinary procedure and sanctions

Awaiting sign-off

How reports are handled, hearings run, and sanctions and appeals decided.

  • This policy requires governance and legal sign-off before publication.
  • A disciplinary framework determines how people may be suspended, fined or excluded, so it must be reviewed and formally adopted by the Academy board before it can be relied on.
  • Until it is adopted, incidents are recorded through the platform's incident reporting tool and handled case by case by the competition office, with natural justice applied: the person is told what is alleged, given a chance to respond, and told the outcome and reasons.
  • If you need to raise something now, use the incident report form in your dashboard or contact the Academy office directly.

Match integrity

In effect

Result accuracy, conflicts of interest and betting.

  • Deliberately submitting a false score, statistic or squad list is treated as a serious integrity breach.
  • Nobody may officiate, adjudicate or resolve a dispute involving a team they play for, lead or are related to.
  • Betting on any Academy fixture by a participant, lead or official is prohibited.
  • Result submissions, amendments and administrative resolutions are logged with the identity of the person who made them.
